Bio
Dr. Lukas came from a non-Christian home, but became a Christian at an early age. Having gone through the trials & temptations of life he has remained faithful.
He began witnessing with Houston Teen Challenge, was involved in campus ministry and was ordained while serving in a 300 member church before becoming an Urban Missionary in San Francisco.
Since those years he has taken the Gospel to events across the U.S. and into other nations on six continents. The Lukas family lived in London for over 4 years while serving as Missionaries. Evangelism, teaching, preaching, being a pastor & a friend has brought forth fruit. His writings are to help others in their pilgrimage & service for Jesus.

Now in one volume the author has combined his 1st and 2nd book to provide not only a front row seat of evangelism around the world but also the "How To's" of reaching others. The unpublished first book, Into the Highways and Hedges (1989) was written after much research to answer his many questions. The validity of witness-ing on the streets and Open-Air Preaching as well as the history of these methods are recorded here. Gary sends out a newsletter 3 or 4 times a year to friends and supporters. Some simply pray and that is especially appreciated. Without prayer a church would not have been planted in San Francisco, the nightclubs closed there, over a million people from all over the world would not have heard the Gospel at London's Piccadilly Circus and now car enthusiasts would not receive a Gospel contact on the parking lots on the weekends.
